Billing and Subscription

Plan prices, when an upgrade or downgrade actually takes effect, invoices, payment cards, cancelling, and why owning a team blocks both.

Everything about paying for CredenShare, and what each change does to your account.

Where billing lives

Open Profile & Account from the dropdown in the sidebar footer. Two of its tabs are billing:

  • Subscription — your current plan, the payment card on file, team seats, and the plan selector.
  • Invoices — every charge on the account, listed under the heading Payment History.

Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars. Under the heading Available Plans the selector has an Annual (save up to 20%) tab and a Monthly tab; the same six tiers appear under both. A third tab, Buy More Shares, lists the extra-share packs and is hidden on Enterprise.

PlanMonthlyAnnualShares included
Free3 per day
Solo$9.99$99.9950 per billing month
Basic$24.99$249.99100 per billing month
Plus$49.99$499.99200 per billing month
Business$99.99$999.99500 per billing month
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimited

Enterprise is not sold self-serve. Its card shows Custom in place of a price and its button reads Contact Us, which opens an in-app enquiry form. A request to move onto it that reaches the API anyway is refused with "This plan is available through our sales team. Please contact us to get set up."

Every other card's button reads Select Plan, or Current for the plan you are already on. What each allowance counts and when it resets is on Plans and share allowance.

Solo, Basic, Plus and Business each include a 14-day free trial, on monthly and annual billing alike, and starting one does not require a card. Enterprise has no self-serve trial — evaluations are arranged through sales. The trial is for first-time subscribers. If you have held a CredenShare subscription before, a new subscription or a renewal is billed straight away rather than starting a second trial.

Upgrading and downgrading

When a change takes effect depends on the direction of the move, and it is not the same in both directions.

ChangeWhen it applies
Monthly to annual, any tierImmediately
Annual to monthly, any tierAt the end of your current term
To a more expensive plan on the same billing periodImmediately
To a plan at the same price on the same billing periodImmediately
To a cheaper plan on the same billing periodAt the end of your current term

An immediate change is charged immediately: an invoice is raised at the moment you confirm and appears under Invoices. Your plan is refreshed as part of the change, so you do not have to sign out and back in to get the new features.

A deferred change costs nothing today. You keep every feature of your current plan until the term ends, and the new plan starts on your renewal date.

The annual rule is checked before the price rule. Moving from a monthly plan to any annual plan takes effect immediately and is charged immediately — including when that annual plan is a lower tier than the one you are leaving.

Selecting a cheaper plan opens a Confirm Downgrade dialog first. It names the effective date and lists, under the heading You'll lose:, every feature and limit that drops — capabilities that switch off, numbers that fall, and anything that goes from unlimited to a fixed cap. Nothing is submitted until you press Confirm Downgrade; Keep Current Plan backs out.

Access-log retention follows the new plan as soon as the plan itself changes: Free 0 days, Solo 3, Basic 7, Plus 30, Business 90, Enterprise 180. Trail entries outside the new window stop being readable.

Payment methods

Payment is by card only. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are recognised. PayPal is not accepted, and there is no invoicing, bank transfer or wallet option in the app.

The card form asks for a name, street address, city, state, country and Zip / Postal Code alongside the card details. The card number and CVC are entered in fields hosted by the payment provider, so the number does not pass through CredenShare.

  • With no card saved, the Subscription tab shows "No payment method on file." and an Add Payment Card button.
  • With a card saved, it shows the brand, the first six and last four digits and the expiry, plus Add or replace payment card.
  • During a purchase, Use a different card lets you pay with a new card instead of the saved one.
Removing the saved card does not cancel your subscription. The two are separate actions: deleting the card leaves the subscription running with nothing to charge it to. To stop paying, cancel the subscription.

Invoices and receipts

The Invoices tab lists every charge, newest first, with the date, a description, the amount and a download button that saves that invoice as a PDF. The invoice is the receipt — there is no separate receipt document.

Invoices exist only where a charge exists. An account that has never been charged shows "No payment history associated with your account."

If a charge does not match what you expected, write to support@credenshare.io with the invoice date and amount.

Cancelling

Cancel Subscription sits on the Current Plan card in the Subscription tab. It appears on paid plans only.

Confirming opens the loss dialog described above plus a short survey — at least one reason must be selected, or the dialog refuses with "Please select at least one reason". Ticking Other reason (please specify) and leaving the box empty refuses with "Please tell us why you want to cancel" instead. The dialog states the terms plainly: your subscription "will remain active until" your renewal date, "after which you'll be moved to the Free plan."

What actually happens:

  • Cancellation is scheduled, not immediate. It is set for the end of the term you have already paid for. Nothing is refunded and nothing changes today.
  • You keep the full plan until then — every feature, and the whole share allowance.
  • At the end of the term the account becomes Free. No further charges are taken. The allowance falls to 3 shares per day and access-log retention to zero.
  • Shares you have already created keep working. Cancelling does not touch them; each one runs to its own expiry or view limit as normal.
  • An unexpired extra-shares pack still counts. Packs bought earlier are still available on the Free plan, on top of the 3 per day.
On the Current Plan card, the date labelled Expires is your renewal date while the subscription is running — the day you will next be charged, not the day access ends.

Reactivating

A cancelled subscription can be reactivated at any point before its access-end date, which resumes it with no gap and no new charge before the normal renewal. The Subscription tab is built to swap Cancel Subscription for a Reactivate Subscription button once a cancellation is scheduled.

That button depends on the subscription record reporting itself as cancelled, and the record the app reads does not currently carry that flag — so in practice the button may not appear, and the card may still read Expires. If you want a cancellation reversed and see no such button, email support@credenshare.io before the access-end date.

Owning a team blocks both

If you own at least one team, cancelling is refused outright, and downgrading is refused whenever the plan you are moving to has no team support. Team support exists on Basic and above, so the blocked downgrade targets are Free and Solo. Business to Plus, for example, is unaffected.

Both refusals say what is wrong. Cancelling returns:

Please remove all your Teams before canceling your plan

Downgrading returns:

Your chosen plan doesn't support Teams feature, please remove all your Teams before downgrading your plan

On a cancellation the app may also raise its own generic Failed to cancel notice alongside that message; the sentence naming Teams is the real reason.

Only teams you own count. Being a member of somebody else's team blocks nothing on your own account. Clear the block in My Teams: open the actions menu on the team's row, choose Delete, and confirm in the Delete Team dialog — then retry the cancellation or downgrade. That menu appears on teams you own only, and the dialog warns that "All team members will lose access. This action cannot be undone.", so tell them first.

Deleting your account

There is no self-serve account deletion. The app has no Delete Account control on any screen, and cancelling a subscription is not the same as closing an account: a cancelled account stays open on the Free plan.

To close an account, or to make a GDPR erasure or other data-subject request, write to security@credenshare.io. These requests are handled manually — there is no automated export or erasure endpoint. See Compliance for what we hold and how deletion works, and Help and support for what else the support desk can and cannot do.
